Sliabh Russell appears in Breathnach’s Ceol Rince na hÉireann, vol. 3. The Hands of Fate is Lynnnsey’s composition, written in 2018. Statia Donnelly’s shares the melody of An Páistín Fionn, appearing with reversed part-order in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (1883) as a jig titled “The Pausteen Fawn.”

Fiddle player Caitlin Finley played for us back in the day at the Coatesville Traditional Irish Music Series. It took a while to find out she’d made a CD with flute & piano (also piccolo, pipes & melodeon) accompaniment but it was worth the wait! Check it out. Will Woodson & Chris Stevens are standouts, too. It’s nice to find a contemporary Irish CD I like start to finish. Frank Dalton

Masterful box playing. Has some very appealing, unusual quality to it - hard to put into words... might be the Sliabh Luachra style peeping through. musicstillspeaks
